2022 Annual Water Quality Report

The City of Lake Forest is pleased to present its Annual Water Quality Report for the 2022 calendar year (January 1 to December 31, 2022).

The Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) requires that utilities issue an annual “Consumer Confidence Report” (CCR) to its customers, in addition to other notices that may be required by law. The report details where our water comes from, what it contains, and the risks our water testing and treatment are designed to prevent.

The City of Lake Forest is pleased to report that the drinking water supplied by the Lake Forest Water Plant meets or surpasses all Federal and State drinking water standards. We are committed to providing the safest and most reliable water supply to our customers. As part of this process, the City is continually working to improve the water treatment process and to protect water resources.

During the 2022 Calendar year, the Water Plant produced 1.221 billion gallons of water. The Water Plant is supplied by surface water from Lake Michigan drawn through 42-inch and 24-inch intake pipelines. Learn more about the Water Plant or read about Water Plant operations on Lake Forest Love.
