Woodland Pedestrian Bridge Replacement Underway
Installation of the new Woodland Bridge is underway!
The portion of Woodland Road underneath the bridge will be closed from Monday, August 8 through Friday, August 12 for installation of the new bridge. The intersection of Woodland and McKinley Roads will be closed the morning of Friday, August 12 to accommodate the concrete pumper truck. The intersection should reopen by the afternoon.
The bridge is expected to be open to pedestrian and bike traffic by Wednesday, August 17.
Bicycle and pedestrian traffic from the Robert McClory Bike Path will continue to be detoured at Woodland and McKinley Roads while the bridge remains closed for the duration of the project. The new bridge is expected to be installed by mid-August to ensure Woodland Road is open when Lake Forest High School classes resume.
