July 4th Festival and Fireworks Cancelled

Due to the shooting in Highland Park, the City of Lake Forest is cancelling the Annual Lake Forest Festival and Fireworks at Deerpath Community Park out of an abundance of caution. The Parks and Recreation Department and Friends of Lake Forest Parks and Recreation will provide additional information about the event as it becomes available.
Forest Park Beach will be closed for the remainder of the day today, July 4 out of an abundance of caution and to address safety concerns of lakefront staff. Please go home and stay safe.
