Parts of Bike Path Closed for Culvert Replacement
The Lake County Division of Transportation will be conducting a series of culvert replacement projects that will close portions of the Skokie Valley Bike Path.
The first closure is planned under the bike path just north of Old Elm Road in Lake Forest. Work is scheduled to take place Monday, September 27 through Tuesday, October 12, weather permitting. Replacing the deteriorated culvert requires the bike path be closed and a detour will be in place.
The project is timed for late fall when the path is used less frequently, but asphalt plants are still open.
