Communications and Community Engagement

The Department of Communications and Community Engagement works to enhance resident and employee understanding of City objectives, issues, decisions, policies, and programs. The department also seeks to increase community engagement and offer meaningful opportunities for feedback about City services, initiatives, and operations.

Promoting Community Events
We love to spotlight what’s happening in the community! Here’s how we can help get the word out about community events happening in Lake Forest.
 - City’s Community Calendar:  Submit a Community Calendar Request Form to share upcoming events on the City’s community calendar to help expand your reach.
 - Weekly eNews: We can include information about upcoming community events or activities in the Community Spotlight or Community Events section of our weekly email newsletter. Email eNews content to Communications Specialist Ashley Love by Thursday at 8 am to run on Friday morning. If space allows, we can include a short blurb (45-50 words) and a graphic (900x500 pixels).
 - Community Sign Board: Community Sign Boards are available to community groups that wish to publicize an event or activity within Lake Forest. Find more information and the application on the Community Sign Board Application webpage.
