Local Business AssistanceThe City of Lake Forest is committed to the health of our business community. There are a number of resources and programs available to local businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.  We encourage you to visit the links below that support our local businesses and local economy.

Financial Relief and Assistance Information
There are a number of financial assistance programs for small and mid-size businesses from various departments through both State and Federal government agencies. These programs are continuing to evolve, and in some cases, the rules are still being defined.  If you are a small business owner, we encourage you to visit these resources to stay up-to-date:

• The Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Chamber of Commerce has compiled a list of COVID-19 resources for local businesses on their website. 
• The Small Business Development Center at College of Lake County produced a Small Business Survival Guide which includes a comprehensive look at the resources currently available to small businesses.
• Make sure to visit the Illinois DCEO Office and the Small Business Assistance websites for information related to various emergency loans, and other Coronavirus Relief Options available through the CARES Act.

The State of Illinois COVID-19 Response Website also includes information on economic assistance and other financial assistance programs including loans, unemployment insurance, utility relief, and others for businesses.
