Water Conservation

Water is a valuable resource that plays an important role in everyday life here in Lake Forest. The City is working hard to employ sustainable practices to conserve and maintain the quality of water provided to residents, manage the quality of runoff entering our streams and ravines, and aid in recharging the water table through green landscaping and green infrastructure initiatives.

  • Construct a Rain Garden to retain and infiltrate stormwater runoff
  • Plant more trees and incorporate native landscaping on your property
