LAKE FOREST DANCE ACADEMY REQUIREMENTS:
New students wishing to register for classes requiring
Placement Recommendations must attend an audition placement
class. To schedule auditions, please call the Dance office at
847-615-4385.
Class progression and advancement is determined by the LFDA
faculty. Evaluations and placement will be mailed to
returning students with the Fall brochure. The Dance Academy
reserves the right to determine class re-assignments for
students who are not registered in the appropriate level
class. This promotes progress and minimizes the risk of
physical strain.
The decision to perform in the Spring Recital is entirely
optional, but must be confirmed by November 1, 2008. Only
written notification prior to this date will entitle the
dancer to a full refund of the recital fee!
The dance office must be informed in advance of all
absences. Three (3) absences, excused or unexcused will
result in probation, which could prevent a student from
further participation in class and/or the recital; this will
be at the instructor’s prerogative. Excused absences are
illness, injury, bereavement, or required religious and
school commitments. These missed classes may be made up,
after notifying the dance office, during the same session at
the same or lower class level.
Strict attention to class attire is essential for good dance
discipline and will be adhered to in all classes!
