Animal Licenses
It is not permitted for dogs to run at large in The City of Lake
Forest. They must be leashed in all City parks, and owners are
required to clean up after their dogs. Dogs are not permitted at the
Forest Park Beach. Each year it is required that cats and dogs owned
by residents of The City of Lake Forest have animal tags. The
license year runs from May 1 to April 30.

The cost of the license tag is $10 per
animal. The current date of expiration for the rabies vaccination by
a licensed veterinarian must be provided. The Police Department
identifies animals they pick up running loose by the number on these
license tags. The tags are available for purchase at the
Municipal Services Building, 110 E Laurel Avenue. Hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
